Louisa's Garden - New Pattern

Here's Louisa's Garden.  This is the second of our new patterns released this week.
Louisa's Garden a classic example of how different the same pattern can look.
Lisa's design has the the soft muted tones and with stitchery in the centre.

Lou's design is appliqué with wool felt and she has used the darker tones with reds and browns.

Our photo's were taken at Lou's "in-laws" home.  We just loved this old gate and couldn't pass up such a great prop for a photo.
The garden is old.... this beautiful tree is evident of that....

This pic didn't really make the cut!  A bit to structured for us... but it's great to show how different the two quilts look.

We can't wait to see how other people make these quilts.  We'd like to see it done with traditional appliqué in the centre too...

Happy stitching,
Lou & Lisa

Braeside - New pattern

We have launched 4 new patterns over the weekend.  We will do a few posts this week with all the new designs and some up close and personal shots of each project.
WE cannot thank you all enough for the support and encouragement we receive for our designs.
A HUGE thank you to the 63 ladies who joined us for Summer School yesterday. WE LOVED IT and  we saw some amazing work being done.
So here is a very 'picture heavy' post of Braeside.

 Braeside has two patterns.
A large English paper pieced and appliquéd quilt....

This is Lisa's before and after quilting.

This is Lou's:
And here is the Braeside Birds mini quilt. Lou's on the left & Lisa's on the right:
We've included this one to show you what a difference quilting makes.
Lisa hand quilted hers and Lou's is machine quilted.  Lou's was 'sucked in' over a 1/4" once quilted.
Lisa's is much more relaxed with the soft hand quilting.

and some close ups:

Before and after being stitched and pressed...

Patterns are available now at Lilly Patches and Mrs Martin's Quilt Shop.
Mandy at The Fabric Parcel will have her patterns by the end of the week (fingers crossed) with other shops to be not to far behind....

Hope you all find some time for stitching,
Lou & Lisa
