Autumn in the Valley

Our new pattern is

Autumn in the Valley.

They are a combination of hand and machine piecing, english paper piecing and applique.

The Monogram Quilt.

Chedder Peels

 

These will be part of a stitch in day at Lilly Patches in Boronia on Saturday the 13th April.

Then also a stitch in day at Magic Patch quilt Shop in Tyabb on Saturday 8th June.

A weekend at The Vickery

Last weekend saw us and 8 friends spend 3 days at The Vickery in Alexandra.

We had a great time!!

We had a very productive weekend with really late nights, great food and great laughs.

The sewing machines didn't stop.

We are working on a new quilt that has all these pieces in it....

We'll show that hopefully in the not too distant future but if we don't put a picture in you may all think we did nothing!!!!

Cheryl was working on a foundation pieced quilt....

Sue was working on her Unknown quilt...

Joanie is is making a Blackbird Designs quilt...

Val was very busy, first this gorgeous set of towels for a special new baby..

And quilt's too...

Chris was also working on a Blackbird Designs quilt...

A quilt for a friend..

Marie has finished the Corners of her Unknown Quilt...

Also her garden quilt..

and a Blackbirds quilt..

Margaret is making a stunning 9 patch quilt from swap blocks...

and Sandra also a stunning "T" block quilt...

There is Chris's "jars of bugs" quilt poking out behind!!

A lovely time spent with great friends!! Thanks girls.

We also spent time up in the town, looking at the shops, having coffee and a dinner out on the first night. The accommodation was very comfy and the work room was great.

Some more Unknown Quilts!

Our friends in our Saturday night friendship group have been making our Unknown Quilts.

We love to see them in different colours. Below are 

Sue's pink and brown centre,

Cheryl's greens, golds and reds centre

and

Marie's nearly finished top!

Marie is adding cornestones and will use the centre circle again the the corners. Can't wait to see it finished, it will look great.

We are off this Thursday after work for 3 days of stitching,laughing and I'm sure way too much food with a group of 8 friends. Oh what to take. We need to put the finishing touches on our Autumn in the Valley projects,and we have started a new quilt!!

We have had some templates made of the block used so we should get quiet a few made on the weekend.

Don't know about all you quilters but the best part is always choosing the fabrics. Playing with colors and prints and of course having to shop a bit for that "perfect one we are missing"

Will be back with some progress pictures after the weekend.
