Blazing Star

When we received a bundle of @andoverfabrics #andovercollective range, I (Lou) knew just what to make.
This fantastic collaborative range has a print from each Andover designer. Our print is the "squiggly" line in blue and purple (you can see it in the star).
Loved making this and very happy how it turned out.

New Small Treasure patterns

Where does the time go?
We are excitedly stitching with our fantastic first range of fabrics, Nicholson Street, by Andover, we can't tell you how amazing it is to sew with fabrics we have created...with our name on the selvedge.  It really is the "stuff of dreams".  Nicholson Street is due in shops in September.... Stay tuned...

In the meantime let us show you our most recent new patterns:

We hope you like them.

Have a great week and happy stitching.

Old Courthouse 1890

We are so very happy to be able to show you our newest design.
Old Courthouse is our newest quilt measuring approx 51" square. Super easy to make bigger by making more blocks. The maths for the setting triangles stays the same.
We love it and hope you do too!  We had great feedback from quilters at the Everything Patchwork and Quilting show at Gembrook on Saturday.  Thanks so much to all of you for popping over and chatting too.
Oh and did we mention ......there is NO CURVED PIECING involved.

Our photo shoot was at the site of the original Healesville Courthouse at 42 Harker Street, Healesville which was built 1889 to 1890.

OUR NEWEST DESIGNS ARE:

Circa 1903
Circa 1903 is a large quilt. The blocks can be hand (or machine pieced) and English Paper Pieced.
Circa 1903 features an original block design and machine pieced borders. .
Acrylic templates are included with all patterns.  You also have the option of buying the pattern with papers for EPP and the templates.
A wonderful large quilt with great opportunities to fussy cut your fabrics.
For those of you trying to guess.... Lisa's version has the brown and pink sashings and Lou's has the dark background fabric.

Eadie
Eadie is the collection of projects.  An applique quilt, lap or wall quilt (which can be made bigger) a small candle mat (great gift size project) and a table runner.
Hand or machine piecing, EPP and applique.....something for everyone!

Marna
Marna is the fourth project in Max & Louise Pattern Co’s Small Treasures series.
We have used civil was reproduction fabrics appliqued onto linen.  It is a table runner.  It would look fantastic in any fabrics including modern/contemporary fabrics or wool felt.

Beverley
Beverley is the fifth project in Max & Louise Pattern Co’s Small Treasures series.
We have used civil was reproduction fabrics.  It is a doll sized quilt/wall hanging.  It would look fantastic in any fabrics including modern/contemporary fabrics.

Ryrie
Ryrie is the third project in Max & Louise Pattern Co’s Small Treasures series.
We have used civil was reproduction fabrics.  It is a small hand pieced or machine pieced doll size quilt. A perfect introduction to hand piecing. It would look fantastic in any fabrics including modern/contemporary fabrics.

Summer School

Oh what a day. We taught a workshop today for our two new patterns

Airlie
And Cranbrook

With Mrs Martin's Quilt Shop.
Karen (aka Mrs Martin) spent all week preparing the hall and baking (yes, in 44 degree heat)!
It looked amazing.
We will apologise for the green tinge in the photos.  The light was good in the hall, but it casts a green glow in photos... Odd....

We had a great bunch of ladies, 63 in all. Including some wonderful friends, ladies we have taught before and some new ladies.

One lovely lady told us of a quilting tour/ trip to the USA she had last year. She said that because they all came with a common interest that they all got along instantly. This group was the same. It seemed as though everyone had a wonderful time and we had a blast.

Here are some photos of what everyone was working on:

Thanks so much for a great day everyone who came and to Karen for organising a very successful Summer School!
We look forward to seeing some PhD's and completed quilts soon.

Lou & Lisa

PS. We are in issue 99 of Quiltmania which is being delivered now.  We shall give you a sneak pic in the next couple of days.
